Childcare Assistant

We invite you to consider an enjoyable, rewarding, and gratifying impactful employment opportunity with our team. We are looking for a knowledgeable, caring, and innovative Early childcare Specialist
Full-time and Part-time positions helping to care for children in an in-home childcare setting.
Duties include:
Provide a safe, clean, inviting, and stimulating environment
Supervising children, Engage with the children in meaningful conversations and age-appropriate activities.
Redirect children when needed to appropriate actions by applying techniques to help children learn to manage their own behavior in a positive manner.
Preparing and providing meals and snacks following CSCFP guidelines
Assist in and Lead preschool activities, Storytime, Music time
Supervising outdoor playtime
Perform daily and weekly cleaning and organizing assignments, Maintain a healthy and safe environment for children by sanitizing toys and classrooms daily, assist with the cleaning of the center, and operating within State Licensing Guidelines.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently, but show a willingness to take direction
Demonstrates consistent attendance and punctuality
Seek professional development through Child Care Resource and Referral Career Ladder.
Perform other duties as needed as assigned.
You will care for children ages 2 months to 10 years.
Must be patient, compassionate, kind, and understanding. Must be able to deal with frustrated or upset children in a calm and professional manner. Must Love working with young children. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old;
Must pass a CCL background check;
Must complete at least 2-1/2 hours of preservice training before caring for children;
Must have current pediatric first aid and CPR certification and Food handlers permit
Must know and follow any applicable laws and rules;
Must complete at least 20 hours of childcare training each year.
Previous experience working at an early childhood care facility is preferred
